The Circuit Today

Numerous factors led to the collapse of the Chitlin' Circuit, but the process began when city leaders routed expressways through the major African American communities in Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, and Pensacola. Except for a few major venues, the remaining stops on the Circuit that still stand are abandoned and mostly forgotten today.
